Once you have done that follow knowledgebase 000244(which basically prepares the pc ready to take roxio).i was very concerned about switching off the antivirus. understand then do the action.now anything that was roxio/sonic has all gone and no more. What i did in the end is follow roxio knowledgebase 000266( this is the way to get rid of ALL roxio/sonic files).at first it looks a bit ott,and a bit deep because it goes into the regestry.take your time follow every step and read. and even if you go to uninstall there are various files hidden away in the hard drive that are corrupt, because the McAfee was on when you first installed it.

Roxio tech support has a page advising McAfee users to disable McAffee temporarily using Msconfig/startup/disable all.ĭoes anyone know if it's safe to follow this advice and if McAfee can be properly restarted as simply as they say it can using MSCONFIG/enable all? I have run into exactly the same problem.
